Zia Yusuf, President & CEO
Zia is a seasoned senior technology executive with a track record of leading companies to success. He is currently CEO of Streetline Inc., the leading global provider of sensor-enabled Smart City solutions. Just prior to his role leading Streetline, Zia was Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Sutter Hill Ventures and Norwest Venture Partners. He spent the last ten years at SAP AG where he was executive vice president and a member of SAP’s Executive Leadership Team. At SAP, he led the company’s efforts in key areas, including co-founding SAPMarkets, a B2B marketplace company; founding and leading the SAP global corporate strategy team and its Design Services Team; and, most recently, as head of the global ecosystem and partner group, where he managed a network of 7,500 partners, award winning SAP online communities of innovation and the $125 mm SAP Netweaver Fund. Prior to SAP, Zia was part of the Investment Banking Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he worked on corporate finance and M&A transactions. Previously, he worked on health sector issues in Southern Africa, as well as project and structured finance in South Asia and Indochina, at the World Bank Group.
Zia has a MS in International Affairs from Georgetown University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA from Macalester College. He is also an associate consulting professor at Stanford University, where he taught “Experiences in Software Design” with Terry Winnograd and Hasso Plattner, co-founder of SAP and is currently co-teaching “Designing Liberation Technologies” with Profs. Terry Winnograd & Joshua Cohen. Zia is also an advisor to several start-ups and is an actively involved board member of non-profit institutions focused on education in South Asia and social entrepreneurship in East Africa. He has also been profiled extensively in leading business and technology publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, FastCompany, CNNMoney, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, etc. and featured in national television and radio stations such as CNN, MSNBC, KLIV Radio, and CNBC.
Manny Krakaris, Chief Financial Officer & COO
Manny is an accomplished executive leader who brings deep expertise in finance, operations and business strategy. He has held executive positions, or served as a strategic advisor, at a variety of private and publicly-traded technology companies including Command Audio, Dexterra, Echopass, Everdream, Luxtera, Silicon Optix and Southwall. His industry experience spans various fields ranging from semi conductors to mobile telephony software and renewable energy. He has worked extensively with many top-tier Venture Capital firms including Canaan Partners, Polaris Ventures, NEA, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Interwest Partners, JP Morgan Partners, Sutter Hill Ventures and August Capital, among others. Prior to his work with technology companies, Manny was Group Vice President of BNP Paribas’ Leveraged Finance Group focusing on M&A and structured finance transactions. Manny was also co-founder of China Solar Power, China’s first thin film photovoltaic solar module manufacturer. Manny holds a Bachelors of Commerce from McGill University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Greg Fiorindo, Senior Vice President of Sales, Americas
Greg comes to Streetline with 20 years of sales, services, and management experience in the enterprise software industry. Most recently, Greg ran Sales and Products for Silicon Valley based Reachable, a pioneer in the birth of the enterprise business graph. Prior to Reachable, he spent 10 years at cloud computing innovator Salesforce.com in sales and sales leadership roles focused on both enterprise and mid-market segments. While working at Salesforce.com, the company’s revenue grew from $26M in 2002 to over $2B in 2011. Before Salesforce.com, Greg spent eight years at Oracle in sales, sales management, professional services, and general management roles. Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, and Spanish Language & Literature from UC Berkeley. When he’s not helping municipalities and universities solve transportation problems and become more sustainable, you’ll find him in Berkeley rooting for his beloved Bears.
Kelly Schwager, Chief Marketing Officer
Kelly joins Streetline from SAP AG, where she was a member of the company’s senior leadership team and served as Vice President, Global Communications. In this role, Kelly held global responsibility for all product and solutions-related communications and served as a trusted advisor to the Board and senior executive team on a range of issues, including product launches and global company events, crisis communication, and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Kelly was also responsible for communication for SAP Co-CEO Jim Hagemann Snabe. With more than 18 years of marketing and communications experience, Kelly has held various leadership roles with global companies including Symantec, VERITAS, and USWeb/CKS. Kelly also brings deep agency experience from Cunningham Communication and Think*Aloud, Inc. where she served clients including @Home, CenterBeam, Cisco, and Satmetrix. Kelly is a member of the International Parking Institute, National Parking Association, and Women in Transportation. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University.
Kurt Buecheler, SVP, Business Development
Prior to joining Streetline, Kurt has been an agent of change via technology for 30 years including nine startup companies and leadership roles at blue chip companies including Microsoft, IBM, and Xerox. He was a member of the launch team for the IBM PC, and also helped usher in technology revolutions in eCommerce, digital media, computer virtualization, and green lighting. Kurt’s passion and specialty is bringing together large and diverse ecosystems of companies for mutual benefit. Kurt holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis.
Vito Salvaggio, Senior Vice President, Product Management
Vito brings over 20 years experience to Streetline running product and marketing teams in both startup environments and industry giants. Most recently, he was VP of Product Management at HP’s Personal Systems Group where he led a variety of mobile, web, and PC software initiatives. Prior to HP, Vito was VP of Product Management at Sonic Solutions/Roxio where he was responsible for Roxio’s full line of consumer digital media products. Vito has also held various positions at startups including VP of Marketing at Unimobile, where he worked on mobile messaging solutions for operators and enterprises, and VP of Marketing at Accrue Software, a pioneer in the web analytics space. Previously, he held various roles at Apple, with his last position as Director of Product Marketing for all Mac OS releases, and he began his career as an engineer designing computer graphics cards at Matrox. Vito holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Concordia University, and a graduate business degree at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Asdrúbal Pichardo Managing Director EMEA & APAC
Asdrúbal is a senior technology executive with a broad and unique combination of experience in growing services and products, business units, markets, and revenues. Before joining Streetline, he spent more than 10 years at SAP AG, where he held several global leadership positions. His latest position at SAP was SVP of the Global Ecosystem and Partner Group where he was responsible for Partner Operations & Services, including solution certifications, strategy, operations, business development, software license sales, and services delivery to more than 3500 partners and technology innovation projects in the Innovation Lab. In addition to management and executive training at MIT and INSEAD, Asdrúbal holds a Systems Engineering & Computer Science degree and a M.Sc. degree in Advanced Computing from King’s College London.
Mark Noworolski, Chief Technology Officer
Mark has been working with low-power sensing technology for over fifteen years, and he co-founded Streetline to leverage low-power sensor design, mesh networking, and web technology to deliver valuable applications to cities. He is the chief architect of Streetline’s patent-pending vehicle sensing technology. Prior to Streetline, he was founder and CEO of muNetix, where he commercialized and licensed high efficiency power supply designs for the consumer market. He has received numerous awards for design and innovation, holds four patents, and is the author of many technical publications. Mark earned a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a BSEE from the University of Toronto.
Thom Linden, Senior Vice President & Head of Engineering
Thom brings to Streetline extensive experience in technology architecture, development and methodology. During his career, Thom has established a reputation for delivering leading-edge software, hardware and cloud-based services. Prior to joining Streetline, he was SVP of Global Research and Development at M86 Security, leading all product development and security research laboratories. As VP of Engineering for WatchGuard Technologies, he established a world-class engineering team and transformed their security firewall products into market leaders. As CTO for Command Audio, his team created an award winning multimedia system used by digital broadcast systems including satellite, DAB and HD Radio. Thom also served as Chief Architect and Senior Director at Oracle and in his early career he led international research and development teams at IBM and represented IBM on ISO and ANSI programming language standardization committees.
Thom earned an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and a B.A. in Mathematics from San Jose State University. He currently holds eight U.S. patents and has seven patents pending.
Jim Reich, Vice President of Engineering
Jim has been involved in sensor networks since the inception of the field. In ten years as a researcher and area manager at the Palo Alto Research Center (formerly the Xerox PARC), he worked on sensor networks ranging from low-powered, collaborative environment sensors to more complex, acoustic, and video sensors for human and vehicle tracking, managing projects for Xerox, Fujitsu, and DARPA. Jim holds an MS in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a BS in aeronautical and astronautical engineering (space avionics) from MIT. He is a seven-time winner of PARC and Lockheed Martin technical and team excellence awards, holds four patents (with twenty-three pending), and is the author of numerous technical publications.
